Dave Hebler is best known to Elvis Presley fans as being his bodyguard in the 1970’s
He is also an internationally recognized martial arts/self-defense instructor, lecturer and Senior Grandmaster and Founder of American Kenpo Karate.
Dave has written several books including “Making it out Alive, protecting Women and Children from Violence” and “How to Survive Encounters of the Worst Kind.”
He contributed to the book Elvis What happened? along with Red and Sonny West who also worked for Elvis, and has recently written a follow up
The Elvis Experience.

Hi Steve, I am wondering why he mentions that Elvis really didn’t work as many days other artists did that were contemporary with him. I’ve heard this mentioned here and there. I would think with actual concert shows/rehearsals/recordings he would have been rather busy. Thank you
