Welcome to this Podcast from ETUFC.

In previous episodes I have featured recording sessions for some of Elvis landmark Albums.

So far I have covered the 1961 movie soundtrack LP Blue Hawaii and the highly acclaimed 1969 Album, From Elvis in Memphis.

In this episode I’m covering the recording sessions for his first post Army LP,Elvis is Back!

Included is session chatter,mistakes,fluffs and outtakes captured during the sessions.

The album topped the UK Albums Chart and reached number two in Billboard's Top LP's. Initially, the release received mixed reviews, but over subsequent years its critical reception became progressively more positive. Elvis is Back! was certified Gold on July 15th 1999, by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Chrissy

Brilliant, I love hearing his studio work, like how that started and evolved, I love the fact they recorded live in the studio. I love that Elvis chose himself what songs he wanted to record, I've read that it's the only thing Parker couldn't get involved with his music, maybe films he might of been involved in. That voice is 'magic' it really is. he was always searching for why god picked him to be who he was,the voice that was from God.
